Our company has a rich history. It all started around 1900 with a small pub in the picturesque village of Geffen. At that time there was a growing demand for petrol and that is why Cees van Den Hanenberg decided to meet this need for his customers as well. In 1926, for example, the first steps were taken in the fuel industry. Since that time (1926), our Brabant family business Hanex – Hanenberg Exploitaties – has continued to grow and today consists of gas stations, car wash and catering locations under the Hanex Hospitality Group throughout the Netherlands.
It all started in a pub, where 'give me a beer and a can of petrol' was a 'normal' question. The fact that this pub grew into a successful gas station was the result of Hospitality and top service. Over the years, our passion and expertise for Hospitality has grown and we have been able to successfully apply this in our car washes. The step towards catering, completed the circle again. We are back to where we once started and what we are good at: making a positive impact in the lives of our guests.
The current director Rob van Herpen took over from his father in 2005. A family business driven by growth and development. To this day, it is still our belief that guests not only purchase products and/or services, but also want to have a distinctly positive feeling about a visit to us. Wherever that may be. And that is exactly what we are good at. We give people a positive experience, also known as a 'moment of happiness'. By welcoming them hospitably and exceeding expectations in the field of Hospitality. We exceed those expectations because we excel in: people-oriented, connecting, reliability, entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm.
