Our business has a rich history. It all started around 1900 with a small pub in the picturesque village called Geffen. At that time there was a growing demand for gasoline and therefore Cees van Den Hanenberg decided to meet his clients in their needs. Thus, the first steps were taken into the fuel-industry in 1926. Sinds then (1926) our “Brabantse” family business Hanex – Hanenberg Expoitaties – has grown further and nowadays it exists of gas stations, carwashes and catering locations throughout The Netherlands under the name of Hanex Hospitality Group.
It all started in the pub, where the question “a beer and a can of gasoline please” was quite normal at that time. That this small pub grew into a successful gas station is the result of Hospitality and top-quality service. Throughout the years our passion and skills for Hospitality have grown and we have been able to apply this successfully in our carwashes. The step towards the catering industry is closing this circle. We are back at where we once started and what we are good at: making a positive impact on the lives of our guests.
The current director Rob van Herpen has taken over in 2005 from his father. A family business driven by growth and development. Up to the present day, It is still our belief that guests not only purchase products and/or services, but also want to have a distinct positive feeling about visiting us. Where that may be. That’s exactly what we are good at. We give people a positive experience, also known as moment of happiness. By receiving them hospitable and exceed their expectations in the field of hospitality. We exceed those expectations because we excel in: human-centeredness, making connections, reliability, entrepreneurship and enthusiasm.
